Artist's Comments

For this San Mateo set of 5 photos the question will be "Would you put this photo on your wall?". If you view the photo then please take a quick second to respond with either "yes" or "no". If you don't view the photo then, uh, nevermind. Honesty is appreciated and if you wish to elaborate on your answer that is appreciated as well.

"Would you put this photo on your wall?"
Yes - it has a sense of aboriginal art or a Kandinsky type style to it.

Would I put this on my wall?

Yes and No

Yes, if I had a modern style decorating theme that used these colors... it's very masculin and simple.

No, in the way I currently decorate because it's all romatic era, velvet, preraphealite portraits and gem tone colors. It just would go.

Overall opinion... it is of very good quality, good enough to make a great print of. Yet clashes with dewy eye-ed girls and burgundy couches.

I would have to say no..it dosent appeal to me..I think a frame would help.. I mite use a large white frame.its a beautiful rock formation..but it would be hard to work out what it was if you hadnt have given a description

Wow, I'm always amazed when people's descriptions of a photo capture the essence so aptly. Like in this case. It really does have that aboriginal feel to it and when I looked up Kandinsky on google some of his work was strikingly similiar. Which could only really lead to one conclusion. I'm the aboriginal Kandinsky. This explains my desire to learn the digeridoo and my penchant for travel.

Your perspective is superb, thanks for sharing.

I might have already mentioned this but it's so cool that an unexpected consequence of asking people if they would put the photo on their wall occasionally led to a window into their lives. Photography is one type of window into the life of the subject, yet what the window shows says something about who placed the window there. *clonk* That's the sound of my brain breaking. What I mean to say is, you folks are interesting, thanks for the windows.

And specifically, Darian, thanks for sharing how your room is decorated. It was a nice poem (another type of window).

Thanks for the window!
